Hannah was my doula for my successful HBAC (home birth after cesarean) in May. She was so positive, supportive, and knowledgeable from our very first meeting. Hannah was our doula for my third birth and she was everything we hoped for! Two skills in particular make her a great doula. First she’s a great listener. She is so easy to talk to, and during the birth was a cheerful and reassuring presence. She was so in tune with me that she was the reason my midwife was called on time! The other skill is her ability to turn anything into a positive. When I was frustrated or afraid of something, like labor starting and stopping, she encouraged me by helping me see the good in it (“all labor is progress!”).
Besides these, she gives amazing education materials, is responsive, and has a wealth of knowledge on coping tools for labor. This birth was my easiest and best and part of that is due to Hannah. I highly recommend her!
